Hurrah for the BBC
I’m loving the BBC. Their site has some excellent news analysis, and some top-notch “primers” on various subjects relevant to current events.
For instance, I’m enjoying a description of uranium enrichment for nuclear power vs. nuclear weapons.
From this I linked to an equally interesting Flash animation about depleted uranium and its use in armor-piercing artillery.
Especially chilling is that Flash sub-animation showing how a DU projectile actually pierces tank armor, killing all inside.
