It is time that I waxed pedagogic
\nOn a subject that’s often confused
\nBy the shallow mass, unschooled in logic,
\nWho can only attend when amused.<\/p>\n
When told that the planet is warming
\nThey snort with an ignorant ease:
\n“All this talk! I don’t see no warming.
\nOutside it’s just twenty degrees!”<\/p>\n
The problem? It lies in confounding
\nTwo words (and I’m just gonna rhyme it)
\nI’ll say it at once, and resounding:
\nThat weather is different from climate!<\/p>\n

\nThe weather can change on a dime.
\nBut climate’s a pattern<\/em> of weather,
\nThat gradually changes with time.<\/p>\n
\nThey listen with one ear cocked wrong
\nTo pundits abusive and wily
\nWho cynically string them along.<\/p>\n
\nOf that which they don’t understand
\nThey’re wholly uneasy with Science
\nTheir votes are, of course, in demand.<\/p>\n
\nSomebody bake them a cake!
\nThey boot up their hi-tech devices
